Today the Russian TVC channel transmitted a program, the hero of which was Anatoly Karpov. Today the twelfth World Champion turned 62 years.

Among other things, Karpov unveiled an interesting fact about Milos Forman: the famous film director ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," "Ragtime," "Amadeus," "Goya's Ghosts" ...) is not only an avid fan of chess, but he also collects chairs, on which players were sitting during the World Championship matches. Foreman has a few of those chairs, that he keeps in his office.

The artist says: "If the greatest chess players were sitting on these chairs and meditated for hours, then the scripts for movies can better written on them, too."

When asked how he will celebrate his birthday today, Karpov said, "In a circle of friends."
