The 1st world title match game between Ushenina and Hou finished in Chinese player's favor.

The reigning champion managed to get an advantage after the opening, but she spent too much time. Closer to the end of the game this factor turned out to be decisive: the Chinese took maximum of her opponent's mistakes.

Anna could win back the sacrificed pawn and maintain initiative: 26.Nxb5 Qxb5 27.Nxe7+ she preferred
26.Nxe7+?! Qxe7 27.Nd5 Nxd5 28.exd5 Bg4 29.Rd2 f5.
White is already not better, but while the black knight is on b7 and is out of play Black hardly has any initiative. When Hou Yifan moved her worse piece on g5, White could already resign.

Game 2 will be played tomorrow at 09:00 CET.
