FIDE published dates and venues for the Grand Prix 2014-2015

The International chess federation announced the new Grand Prix series to consist of four stages; every participant has to take part at least in three stages and all of them will counted. 

Stages:
1) 1-15 October 2014; Baku, Аzerbaijan
2) 20 October - 3 November 2014; Tashkent, Uzbekistan 
3) 14 - 28 February 2015; Tehran, Iran
4) 13 - 27 May 2015; Moscow, Russia

16 players are invited to participate: 11 qualified according to the rules, one player from each country organizer and one FIDE president nominee.

The list of 11 participants:

1. Magnus Carlsen (world champion)
2. Vishy Anand (world championship match participant 2013)
3. Vladimir Kramnik (world cup winner 2013)
4. Dmitry Andreikin (world cup runner-up 2013)
5. Evgeny Tomashevsky (world cup semi-finalist 2013)
6. Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (world cup semi-finalist 2013)
7. Levon Aronian (here and below the average rating list 05.2013 - 04.2014)
8. Fabiano Caruana
9. Alexander Grischuk
10. Hikaru Nakamura
11. Veselin Topalov

These players have to confirm their participation by August 27, 2014. The first reserves for any replacement needed are:

1. Sergey Karjakin
2. Boris Gelfand
